Hilton announced the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Beijing in China.  The hotel is the second Waldorf Astoria property to be located in the country.

The hotel has 176 guestrooms, including 38 suites.  The property also houses three restaurants, Brasserie 1893, a dining room with a show kitchen that also offers buffet breakfast, Zijin Mansion, a Chinese restaurant featuring Cantonese cuisine, and Peacock Alley, the hotel’s lounge.

The hotel also offers guests a fitness center, spa, and heated indoor pool.  In addition, the property has 8,568 square feet (796 square meters) of meeting and event space available.

The hotel is located on the former site of Xianliang Temple, the permanent residence of Li Honzhang, a Chinese general, politician, and diplomat in the late 1800s, and the first Chinese guest to stay at the flagship Waldorf Astoria New York.  The property is located just 16 miles (27 kilometers) from Beijing International Airport.
