Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills – Hotel Review
“Location. Location. Location.” has been a favorite phrase of realtors for more than one hundred years but it applies equally to hotels as much as, if not more so, than anything else. When one is traveling, being situated in the exact, perfect location can make or break a trip.
One such hotel is the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
After a quick drive from the airport down La Cienega, and pulling up to the front of the hotel, I knew I was at a Sofitel because the doorman greeted me with a “Bonjour!” even though we were in Los Angeles. I was escorted to the reception desk where check-in formalities were minimal and was soon off to my room.
My Beverly Suite consisted of a separate bedroom and living room plus a large foyer. The bedroom was cozy and, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, had an abundance of natural light and great views of the Hollywood Hills, including the famed “Hollywood” sign.
The Sofitels I’ve stayed at in other cities almost always had the finest bed linens and this one was no exception. Snuggled under the comfortable duvet flanked by soft pillows, I fell asleep in no time at all and woke up refreshed but wishing I had scheduled my meetings to allow for sleeping in.
The suite had a separate bathroom with tub and walk-in shower; water closet and sink were on the other side of the hall.
The living room had a large sofa and several chairs, as well as a private terrace, making it quite suitable for informal entertaining and smaller meetings.
