Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced it will open a new hotel in London on May 6 of this year.  The Shangri-La Hotel, at the Shard, London will be the company’s third property in Europe.

The hotel will occupy levels 34 through 52 of a 72-story building, and will contain 202 guestrooms and suites, located on levels 36 through 50 of the tower.  Each room will have floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as marble bathrooms with heated floors, separate bathtubs, and mirrors with integrated TV screens.

Upon entering the hotel’s dedicated street entrance, guests will be escorted in a high-speed elevator to the sky lobby, located on the 35th floor.  The lobby will be outfitted with modern and classical art pieces.

The property will offer three dining venues, including Gong, a bar on the 52 floor, Ting, the hotel’s signature restaurant and lounge located on the 35th story, and Lang, an Asian deli located on the ground floor of the building.

The hotel will also be equipped with a 24-hour gym and infinity pool, both of which will be located on the 52nd story.  The property will also have three separate meeting and event spaces, all located on the 34th floor.
