Jump… NOW. Jonathan Spira hops on an Amtrak train from the District to the Big Apple. While it’s half as fast as a flight, trains avail travelers the option to disembark at will. RyanAir was seen scoping out parachute prices for a similar concept.
Shiny things. Henry Feintuch checks into the historic Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, Greece. Sure, the city may be falling apart and is ravaged by debt, but, ooooh I can see the Acropolis from my room.

Pasta grants wishes. This past Sunday, Punxsutawney Phil paid us a visit and told us to expect more snow in the future. Three major storms have made their way across the U.S. this week, so we’re pretty sure Phil made a deal with FSM.
Double bonus points for snowboarding. Newark Liberty Airport will soon be accessible by PATH train service. Now you take a car to a train to a plane, and walk to the gate. Bonus points if you can get a bike or roller-skates into that routine.
