Boingo announced on Monday that is has installed Hotspot 2.0 networks at 21 airports in the U.S.

The new hotspots will support Passpoint, a service that enables iOS 7 users with a Passpoint profile installed to instantly connect to Boingo’s secure network without supplying login credentials each time.

In addition to Passpoint support, the new network will also be compatible with a number of major mobile operators that can use the hotspots for carrier offload by means of roaming agreements with Boingo.  Offloading data from mobile networks to Boingo’s Wi-Fi will help keep mobile speeds responsive.

Airports deploying the new hotspots include Baltimore-Washington International, Chicago O’Hare, Detroit Metro, Los Angeles International, New York JFK, and Newark Liberty.
