AT&T announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Monday that it has added 4G LTE data roaming to 13 additional countries.

The mobile operator already offered 4G LTE data roaming in Canada and the United Kingdom.  Travelers heading to Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, France, Guam, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, and Switzerland will now have access to the carrier’s 4G LTE network.  Roaming charges will apply.

AT&T also released an app that makes it easier for customers to track their data roaming usage and charges.  The AT&T International Travel App is now available for iOS and Android devices.  Users can set up custom alerts to warn them of an approaching data usage threshold.

AT&T is the only U.S. carrier to offer 4G LTE speeds abroad. The mobile service provider has agreements and plans in place to provide 4G LTE roaming in over 200 countries.
