Alaska Airlines to Offer Free Local Beer Samples on Select Flights
Alaska Airlines announced it will begin serving free samples of locally-brewed beer on flights between Anchorage and both Fairbanks and Kodiak, Alaska, on March 3. The airline will offer Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling Co.’s Old 55 Pale Ale on these flights, which will be operated by Horizon Air using Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
Samples of the beer, which is brewed in Anchorage and near Fairbanks, will be offered to passengers 21 and older, on flights operating after 11:00 a.m. Sample sizes will be approximately 6.5 ounces.
Complimentary soft drinks, Starbucks coffee, Northwest wine, and microbrews will also be available on flights that offer the free samples.
Alaska Airlines is the seventh largest U.S. airline in terms of passenger traffic. It is currently headquartered in Seattle, Washington.
