Starwood announced that it will open the Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa in Mauritius, an island nation off the east coast of Africa, in spring of this year.  The hotel will have a beachfront location on Mauritius’ historic Turtle Bay of Balaclava on the northwest coast of the island.

The property will have 190 guestrooms, 38 of which will be suites.  Each room will be outfitted with Westin Heavenly Beds, Showers, and Robes, as well as White Tea Aloe bath amenities.

The hotel will offer five dining options, including two specialty restaurants, an all-day dining venue, a pool restaurant and bar, and a lobby lounge.  The property will also be equipped with approximately 3,659 square feet (340 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a ballroom, two meeting rooms, and a business center.

A spa will also be located on the premises, and will offer various treatments for guests, as well as two pools, and a workout center, which will include steam rooms, saunas, and Jacuzzis.  The hotel will also offer the brand’s Westin Kids Club, which is tailored to provide services, meals, and amenities to guests’ children.
