Hyatt announced the opening of the Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort in southern Thailand.  The hotel is the first Hyatt property to open on the island of Phuket, Thailand’s largest island.

The hotel has 199 rooms, each with a private balcony.  Some of the rooms feature private 700 square foot (65 square meter) terraces, as well as 40” LED TVs.

The resort’s signature restaurant, Sunset Grill, offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and features seafood, market-fresh vegetables, prime meats, and seasonal selections.  In addition, the Pool House restaurant, an all-day dining venue, features authentic Thai and Italian cuisine.

The property also has a fitness center and an infinity pool that, at 235 square feet (21 square meters) is one of the largest pools on the island.

The Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort also houses the Nahm Spa, which offers eight private spa suites, as well as authentic Thai and international treatments.  In addition, the property offers over 4,300 square feet (399 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a pillarless ballroom, pre-function area, three multi-functional rooms, and a boardroom.
