Etihad Airways announced it will add a second daily flight between New York and Abu Dhabi on March 1.  The flights will be operated using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The additional daily flight will depart Abu Dhabi International Airport at 1:45 a.m. and will arrive at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport at 7:45 a.m. the same day.  From New York, flights will depart at 11:35 a.m. and will arrive in Abu Dhabi at 9:20 a.m. the next day.

Initially, Etihad Airways will operate the new flights using three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft leased from Jet Airways.  However, on May 1, Jet Airways will begin operating the flights.

In addition to the increased frequency of New York flights, Etihad also recently announced that it will begin daily service to Los Angeles in June, as well as thrice weekly service to Dallas/Fort Worth in December.
