Fairmont Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of the Fairmont Nanjing hotel in Nanjing, China, near Shanghai.  The hotel is the company’s fourth property in the country.

The property has 359 guestrooms and suites, and is located on the top floors of a 62-story tower.  Each room is outfitted with 46” flat panel TVs, Fairmont’s signature bedding, and contemporary bathrooms with rain shower stalls and Le Labo bathroom amenities.

The hotel also houses a Fairmont Gold Lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast, as well as evening cocktail canapés.

The property’s restaurants and bars include Altitude, an all-day dining venue on the 60th floor of the hotel; Richesse Chinoise, specializing in Huaiyang, Cantonese, and Sichuan cuisine; the Lobby Lounge, which offers afternoon teas and cocktails; and Music@61, a venue comprised of three lounges including a cocktail, whiskey, and wine lounge.

In addition, Cloud 62 (a rooftop bar featuring tented cabanas, a Jacuzzi, music bar, and man-made beach), Vancouver Grill (featuring Canadian steak and seafood), and Streetz Café (a bistro venue) will open next March in the hotel.

On the 33rd floor, the hotel’s Willow Stream Spa features seven treatment rooms and suites, and offers both Asian and Western treatments.  The spa also has an indoor mineral pool, saunas, and steam rooms.

The property also has 26,909 square feet (2,500 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a 10,763 square foot (1,000 square meter) ballroom.
