The Chedi Andermatt hotel opened its doors in Andermatt, Switzerland on December 20.  The 44-room, 62-suite hotel is located in the Urserental in the middle of the Swiss Alps.

Rooms have dark wood floors and leather chairs, as well as painted murals.  In addition, some of the suites have private balconies and fireplaces.

Located on the property are both indoor and outdoor fireplaces.  A 25,833-square-foot (2,400-square-meter) spa is located in the hotel, which offers a 114-foot (35-meter) indoor pool, a 39-foot (12-meter) outdoor pool, Finnish sauna, hammam, and ten spa suites.

The hotel’s restaurant, known simply as the Restaurant, features four theater kitchens, which offer Swiss, European, and Asian cuisine.  The property also has the Wine & Cigar Library, the Lobby, the Courtyard, the Bar and Living Room, a cheese cellar, and the Japanese Restaurant as other dining options.

The Chedi Andermatt offers access to various different ski slopes in the Swiss Alps.  In addition, the resort is one of the only in Switzerland to be open year round, which offers guests access to hiking, biking, and golfing during the summer months.
