Boeing announced it will offer children (and adults) around the world the opportunity to track the journey of Santa Claus on December 24.

Santa Tracker will use a Google Earth plugin to display Santa’s location on a map, updated live.

Boeing is encouraging the sharing of “Santa Sightings” on social media sites with the hash tag #Dreamliner.

The website can also be used to track any Boeing 787 Dreamliners currently in the air.

Boeing did not state whether the system will also track Saint Nicholas, Père Noël, Babbo Natale, der Weihnachtsmann, or Pai Natal, not to mention other aliases that Kris Kringle is known to travel under.  It was also unknown as to whether the TSA would require positive identification prior to departure.
