Delta Air Lines announced it will launch new routes and increase frequency on existing routes in and out of Boston’s Logan Airport, including both year-round and seasonal service.

The airline will launch daily service to both Jacksonville, Florida, beginning March 3, 2104, and Richmond, Virginia, set to begin on Match 6, 2014.  Both new routes will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Endeavor Air, using CRJ-900 aircraft, equipped with 75 seats in a two-class configuration.

The airline will also launch new service to Las Vegas from Boston, with three flights a week beginning on March 6 of next year.  The service will operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The carrier will also add one additional flight to Los Angeles from Boston, beginning April 7 of next year, for a total of two daily flights between the two cities.  The additional flight will also operate using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Beginning March 8, 2014, Delta will launch summer seasonal service to both Nassau, Bahamas, and the Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, both of which will operate on Saturdays only.  Both routes will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Shuttle America, and will use Embraer E-175 aircraft, equipped with 76 seats.

The carrier will also extend its seasonal service to Cancun from Boston.  The service, which was previously scheduled to end on April 26, 2014, will now end on August 30, 2014.
