Audi announced that it will launch a new version of its Audi Connect Service in the spring of 2014, with the arrival of the all-new A3 sedan.

The service will run on 4G LTE networks, and boast speeds of 100 Mbps – up to seven times as fast as the previous generation of Audi Connect.  In addition to the faster speeds, the new Audi Connect will feature picture navigation, social media interaction, and access to over 7,000 Web radio stations via mobile app integration.

As before, Audi Connect can be used as an in-vehicle hotspot, to which up to eight personal electronic devices and laptops can be connected.  With the introduction of 4G LTE connectivity, the service can be used for more data-heavy tasks such as video streaming.

Audi says that, with the launch of its new service in the spring, Audi Connect will provide the fastest in-vehicle connection available.
