Transaero Airlines Expands First Class Offerings

Transaero Airlines announced the addition of a first class cabin, Imperial class, on Boeing 737-800 aircraft operating on certain medium-haul routes from Moscow.  Previously, the airline’s Imperial class was only available on long-haul routes.

The newly configured aircraft add a new first-class cabin with four Imperial class lie-flat seats, which extend into beds.  The aircraft are also equipped with eight business class seats, with a seat pitch of 43”.  The main cabin has 132 seats, each with a seat pitch of 34”.

The first cities that will get the reconfigured aircraft will be London, Tel Aviv, Paphos, Astana, and Almaty.

Transaero Airlines is Russia’s second largest passenger airline.  It launched operations in November of 1991 and currently serves more than 240 cities worldwide.
