Norwegian to Begin Three New U.S. Routes from London, Five New European Routes
Norwegian Air Shuttle announced it will launch three new routes to the U.S. next summer, between London Gatwick and Los Angeles, New York, and Fort Lauderdale. In addition, the airline will also launch five new European routes in 2014, as well as increase its frequencies on existing ones.
Norwegian’s flights from London Gatwick to Los Angeles International Airport will begin on July 2, 2014, and will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The airline will then begin service between London and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on July 3, with flights operating three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
On July 4, Norwegian will begin service to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays.
In addition to its U.S. routes, the airline’s five new European routes next year will include London-Santorini, Greece service, beginning on April 5 and operating once a week, and London-Corfu, Greece service, beginning July 19 and operating once a week. Norwegian will also launch one weekly flight between London and both Sicily, Italy and Cyprus on April 5, 2014.
The airline will also begin thrice weekly service between London and Budapest on March 30.
In addition to its new routes, Norwegian will also increase frequencies on its existing services to Malaga, Ibiza, Split, Dubrovnik, Majorca, Faro, Tenerife, Copenhagen, and Barcelona.
