JetBlue announced the introduction of Family Pooling, a new option that allows families and small groups to earn or share JetBlue TrueBlue points, free of charge.  With the option, TrueBlue members can allocate all or some of their individual TrueBlue points into a group account.

The new option applies to families consisting of up to two adults at least 21 years old, and up to five children under the age of 21.  Families must choose a Head of Household, and members can choose to pool between 10 and 100% of their points into the family account.

The Head of Household can then redeem points from the family account for any member of the family’s travel.  One-way award flights are available starting at 5,000 points.

The new Family Pooling option defines “family” as a group of people united by common affiliation, so members of the pool do not need to be blood-related.
