Hyatt to Open Two New Hotels in Tanzania

Hyatt announced it will open two new properties in Tanzania, the Park Hyatt Zanzibar, which is expected to open in January of next year, and the Hyatt Regency Arusha, scheduled to open in 2016.

The Park Hyatt Zanzibar will offer 72 guestrooms and have direct access to the beachfront. It will be located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Stone Town in the historic district of Zanzibar City.

The Hyatt Regency Arusha will have 144 rooms, and will be situated on a 29-acre (11 hectare) site in central Arusha in northern Tanzania. The property will be located near famed African national parks, such as Tarangire National Park, and Mount Kilimanjaro.

Currently, six Hyatt-branded hotels are located in Africa, including the Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort, the Hyatt Regency Taba Heights, the Hyatt Regency Casablanca, the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, the Kilimanjaro, the Hyatt Regency Johannesburg, and the Hyatt Regency Oubaai Golf Resort and Spa.
