Air Canada’s Maple Leaf Lounge in Frankfurt

Air Canada announced the opening of its new Maple Leaf Lounge at Terminal 1 of Frankfurt Airport.  The new 7,814 square foot (726 square meter) lounge is open to Air Canada Altitude Super Elite 100K, Elite 75 K, and Elite 50K members, Star Alliance Gold members, and Air Canada Executive First Class passengers who have confirmed same-day travel on a departing Air Canada or Star Alliance flight.

The Frankfurt Maple Leaf Lounge incorporates various areas and designs, including the Canada Room, which showcases Canadian artwork against Canadian maple wood millwork, backlit walls lined with Canadian maple wood slats, and cross-cut slabs of Ontario Eramosa marble.  The lounge also has a dining area, as well as glass art and a rotating display of artwork by Canadian artists.

Also located within the lounge is a quiet zone, featuring six reclining pods equipped with personal satellite TVs, USB ports, and Sony noise-canceling headsets.  In addition, the lounge has a Bistro-style dining area, which offers both hot and cold food options, as well as complimentary German and Canadian wines, beer, and spirits.

The lounge also houses a spa-inspired shower area featuring large rain-shower heads, music, and Canadian Escents spa products.  A business center is also located within the lounge, and features individual flat screen PCs, and color laser printing and scanning.

The entire lounge offers complimentary wireless high speed Internet.  It is open from 6:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m.
