United Airlines to Begin New Nonstop Indianapolis-San Francisco Service

United Airlines announced it will launch new daily, nonstop service between Indianapolis and San Francisco on January 7, 2014.  The service will operate using Airbus A319 aircraft.

Flights will depart from Indianapolis International Airport at 8:00 a.m. and arrive at San Francisco International Airport at 10:00 a.m.  Flights from San Francisco to Indianapolis will depart at 1:35 p.m. and arrive at 8:51 p.m.

United’s Airbus A319 aircraft are equipped with eight seats in first class, 40 seats in Economy Plus, and 72 in economy.  Seats in first class are 20.5” wide, with a pitch of 38”.

Last month, United applied with the U.S. Department of Transportation to begin new nonstop service between San Francisco and Chengdu, China, effective June 9 of next year.  The service would operate three times a week, using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
