Hakkasan, a global restaurant and nightlife group, announced it will open its first luxury resort on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island.  Construction on the property is scheduled to begin in 2014.

The hotel will have a beachfront location on the Palm Jumeirah, a palm tree-shaped man-made archipelago in the Persian Gulf.  The property will have restaurants, entertainment, and service options.

Last week, Hakkasan opened the Hakkasan Beverly Hills in California, and the company plans to launch the Hakkasan Shanghai in China early next year.

Hakkasan is a modern Chinese restaurant concept that was founded in 2001.  It currently operates properties in Miami, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Dubai, Las Vegas, Doha, San Francisco, New York, and Beverly Hills.
