British Airways Begins Dreamliner Service Between London and Toronto

DSC_0277British Airways announced the launch of its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner service between London, England and Toronto, Canada.  The first westbound flight arrived from London Heathrow on September 1 at approximately 3:24 p.m., and the inaugural eastbound flight departed Toronto Pearson International Airport at 7:20 p.m.

The aircraft will have three cabins, business (Club World), premium economy (World Traveller Plus), and economy (World Traveller).  The business-class cabin will have 35 fully lie-flat seats, each with a pitch of 73” and a width of 20”.

The aircraft are also fitted with British Airways’ new Thales entertainment system, which includes screens at every seat with over 70 movie choices, 230 TV programs, and 400 music albums and interactive games.

Over the next four years, British Airways plans to add 24 new Dreamliners to its fleet.  Beginning in October, the airline plans to start Dreamliner service between London and New York.
