Starwood announced it will open a new Sheraton property in Samsum, Turkey, in 2014.  The Sheraton Samsum Hotel will be located on the coast of the Black Sea, about 1.8 miles (three kilometers) from the city center, and 15 miles (25 kilometers) from Samsum Carsamba Airport.

The 29-story hotel will have 200 guestrooms, as well as 20 suites.  The property will also have an all-day dining venue, a lobby bar, and a rooftop bar and lounge.

For meeting and event space, the hotel will offer 10 meeting rooms, a business center, and a grand ballroom.  The hotel will also have a spa that will include 10 treatment rooms, an indoor pool, and retail shops.

Starwood currently operate nine properties in Turkey.  The Sheraton Samsum Hotel will be the company’s 11th in the country, after the Sheraton Adana Hotel opens later this year.
