Samsung Electronics unveiled its newest television model, the 55-inch KN55S9C Curved OLED TV, in New York City.  It is the first television set to feature MultiView capabilities with full HD and stereo sound.  Its retail price is set at $8,999.

Inspired by what Samsung executives refer to as a ‘Timeless Arena” aesthetic, the Curved OLED TV replicates watching an event in an amphitheater or IMAX screening and combines it with an impressive picture quality. Its RGB sub-pixels are self-emitting and are laid directly on the color display panel, eliminating the need for a color filter. The OLED TV boasts a contrast radio 450 times sharper than an LED display and a motion clarity 100 times clearer than an LED screen.

One of the biggest draws of the KN55S9C is its MultiView feature with 3D Active glasses, which includes built-in full stereo speakers. With this, viewers can switch between programs with the touch of a button without the need to change glasses. The set also includes Samsung Smart TV features such as the Smart Hub interface that organizes content into five simple panels.
