Mandarin Oriental to Open New Hotel in Southern China

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group announced it will open a new hotel in Shenzhen, Southern China in 2017.  The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen will be part of a mixed use development which will include office towers, a residential complex, and retail and outdoor space.

The hotel will have 190 rooms, 17 of which will be suites.  The property will also have an executive club lounge.

The hotel will have various restaurants and bars, including a Chinese restaurant with private dining rooms, an all-day restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a signature Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop.  A specialty restaurant and bar will also be located on the rooftop of the hotel.

The property will have various meeting and event spaces, including a 10,763 square foot (1,000 square meter) grand ballroom and a 8,934 square foot (830 square meter) junior ballroom.

The hotel’s 12,916 square foot (1,200 square meter) spa will include six treatment suites, as well as massage and beauty treatments.  The property will also have fitness facilities and a heated indoor pool.
