A Lion Air flight from Jakarta crashed into a cow upon landing at Jalaluddin airport on Tuesday.  The collision caused the plane to skid off the runway.

No passengers were hurt in the accident, although the cow was killed instantly, crushed under a wheel.

The airport was closed following the incident, but has since reopened.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 , sustained minor damage.
