Kempinski Debuts New Hotel in China
Kempinski announced the opening of a new hotel in Taiyuan, China. The Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan is the company’s 19th property in Mainland China.
The hotel has 363 rooms and suites, which range in size from 430 to 2,335 square feet (40 to 217 square meters). The rooms are contemporary in design with wooden floors. The bath areas all have rainforest showers and separate bathtubs. Executive Suites and Diplomatic Suites have a separate living room and sitting area.
The Executive Lounge offers views of Taiyuan and the complimentary use of a meeting room or up to two hours a day. The lounge offers multiple food presentations a day including breakfast during the week, brunch on weekends (served until 2 p.m.), afternoon tea, and evening cocktails.
The hotel has several restaurants and bars, including the Paulaner Bräuhaus, which offers homebrewed Paulaner beer and traditional Bavarian food, and Grill & Wine, which features Western-style grilled entrée. Other dining options include Elements, which features imported seafood, Long Yuan, a Chinese restaurant, and Kempi Deli, which offers freshly-baked breads and cakes.
A fitness center is located on the seventh floor. It features a heated indoor pool, as well as yoga and aerobics classes.
