Delta Air Lines said it will begin hourly shuttle flight service between Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport starting September 3 of this year.  The flights will be operated by Delta Connection partner Compass Airlines using Embraer E-175 aircraft.

Flights will depart from both airports every hour Monday through Friday starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 9:00 p.m., for a total of 14 daily flights.  The shuttle will operate on weekends but there will be fewer flights offered.

The Embraer E-175 aircraft are equipped with 12 first class, 12 Economy Comfort, and 52 economy seats.  Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided, as well as access to in-flight Wi-Fi and newspapers.  Passengers will be able to check in for a shuttle flight as close to 30 minutes prior to departure.

Delta said members of its SkyMiles program will earn a minimum of 500 miles for all shuttle flights.
