BMW announced it launched the BMW Individual DesignworksUSA Consultation Program at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event in California.  The program allows BMW customers to work directly with a BMW Group DesignworksUSA designer to create their own vehicle.

The program kicks off this weekend at the event, where customers will have the opportunity to meet with lead designer Sandy McGill to begin to develop the look of their new cars.  McGill will work with customers to specify such items as leather, interior trim, and paintwork to create a unique vehicle.

McGill and the BMW design team will be available on an ongoing basis at the BMW Group DesignworksUSA studio in Southern California for personal consultants and will also be available by phone.  BMW provides customers with image concepts, in addition to color, leather, and trim samples during the consultation process.

The new program is available on the 5 Series Sedan, 6 Series, 7 Series, and the X6, as well as on the M versions of these models.  The program allows clients to choose from packages or à la carte, with options in paint finishes, leathers, trims, headliners, and equipment.

BMW of North American also recently introduced the option for customers to specify BMW Individual paint, trim, and interiors when ordering a car.  For example, for a BMW ActiveHybrid 5, color choices include BMW Individual options such as Azurite Black Metallic exterior paint, Platinum leather seats, and Piano finish black trim.
