Alaska Airlines announced the launch of nonstop service between Atlanta and Portland, Oregon.  In honor of the new service, the airline is offering one-way fares of $149 for a limited time.

Flights depart from Portland at 9:50 a.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 5:35 p.m.  Flights from Atlanta to Portland depart at 5:10 p.m. and arrive at 7:30 p.m.

The one-way fares of $149 must be purchased by August 28, and are valid for travel from September 9 through November 20.  In addition, the airline is also offering double Mileage Plan miles on the new route, for travel through October 31.

Last month, Alaska Airlines announced it would begin new seasonal service between Seattle and Steamboat Springs/Hayden, Colorado in December.
