A WestJet aircraft landing in Vancouver

WestJet announced the launch of WestJet Encore, a wholly owned subsidiary of WestJet.  The new airline provides service to multiple cities across Canada.

WestJet Encore currently offers service between Calgary and both Nanaimo and Fort St. John, British Columbia, as well as Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  The airline also offers flights between Vancouver and both Fort St. John and Victoria, British Columbia.

The carrier operates a fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft, outfitted with 78 seats in a 2-2 configuration.  The seats have an average pitch of 30 inches.

WestJet Encore is based in Calgary, Alberta.  Beginning on September 9 of this year, the carrier will launch service to Brandon, Manitoba in Canada.
