United Airlines Begins Newark-Saint Lucia Service

United Airlines announced the launch of weekly nonstop service between its New York hub in Newark, N.J. and Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. The service operates using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Flights depart Newark Liberty International Airport at 8:55 a.m. on Saturdays, and arrive at Hewanorra International Airport in Saint Lucia at 1:48 p.m. Flights from Saint Lucia to Newark depart at 2:38 p.m. and arrive in Newark at 7:33 p.m., also on Saturdays.

The 737-800s are equipped with 16 seats in first class, 48 seats in Economy Plus, and 90 in economy. Seats in first class are 21” wide, with a 38” pitch.

Saint Lucia is a sovereign island nation located in the eastern Caribbean Sea, bordering on the Atlantic Ocean. It is near Martinique and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and was first colonized in 1643. Saint Lucia is United’s 17th destination in the Caribbean.
