Starwood announced it will open a new hotel, Le Méridien Delfina Santa Monica, in California later this year.  The hotel will open on site of the former Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica.

The hotel will have 310 guestrooms, as well as over 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of meeting and event space.

The hotel will offer a full-service restaurant and bar, as well as an outdoor pool and grill.  A fitness center will also be located on the property.

The hotel will also have artist-designed key card collections.  In addition to opening rooms, the cards will allow guests access to Le Méridien brand-affiliated cultural center around the city.
