Starwood Opens Two Sheraton, Aloft Properties in Turkey

Starwood announced the opening of both the Sheraton Bursa hotel and the Aloft Bursa hotel in Bursa, Turkey.  The two new hotels are Starwood’s first properties in Bursa, and the company’s eighth and ninth hotels in Turkey.

The Sheraton Bursa has 171 guestrooms, 10 of which are suites, each equipped with Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds.  The hotel also has a Presidential Suite on the 13th floor, which features a living area, master bedroom, kitchen and cocktail bar, and a private whirlpool.

The property’s spa offers traditional Turkish baths, as well as six spa treatment rooms.  An indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a nearby garden area, can accommodate up to 600 guests for weddings and events.

The hotel has a Sheraton Club Lounge located on the top floor, which offers breakfast, light snacks, and evening drinks and hors d’oeuvres.  The property also has over 30,138 square feet (2,800 square meters) of meeting and event space, including a large ballroom and pre-function area.

The Aloft Bursa hotel has 133 guestrooms, each with loft-like ceilings, oversized windows, and large walk-in showers.  The rooms also have sizeable HDTVs and wireless Internet access.

The Aloft Bursa also has a fitness center and pool, as well as a 24-hour deli with various food and beverage options.  The property features three meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 15 people.
