Singapore Airlines Announces New Cabin Enhancements in Business and Coach

In addition to the new first class suites designed by BMW’s DesignworksUSA, Singapore Airlines announced it will debut new products in its business and economy cabins as well.  The airline will initially introduce the changes on eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft operating on select flights between Singapore and London beginning in September.

In business class, seats will have an increased recline of 132°,and will feature an improved ergonomic seat cushion.  Seats will also have 18” LCD screens and video touch-screen handsets, as well as power outlets and USB and HDMI ports.

In Singapore’s economy class, passengers will have increased space and legroom, as well as 11” monitors.  Seats will also have ergonomically sculpted headrest cushions, new backrest seat cushions, and new fabric designs.

After the new cabins have been installed in the eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. They will then be progressively introduced on new Airbus A350 aircraft that are scheduled for delivery in the coming years.
