InterContinental Hotels Group announced the opening of the Crowne Plaza Detroit Downtown Convention Center hotel.  The property was previously the Pontchartrain Hotel, and underwent extensive renovations during its conversion to a Crowne Plaza property.

The 25-story hotel has 367 guestrooms, including more than 60 suites.  The property also has a business center, fitness center, and indoor pool.

The hotel has two restaurants, including Reflections, a casual bistro environment offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Top of the Ponch, a more formal dining venue.  There is also a Lobby Bar, which offers options for late night room service.

The property has over 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of meeting and event space, including nine meeting rooms, and one ballroom that can accommodate up to 350 people.  There is also an executive level floor with a separate lounge, in addition to concierge service and valet parking.
