Starwood to Open Three New Properties in Saudi Arabia
Starwood announced it will open three new hotels in the Saudi Arabian city of Makkah in 2015. The new properties will be Sheraton, Westin, and Four Points by Sheraton hotels.
The Sheraton Makkah will have 532 guestrooms and suites, as well as five food and beverage venues. The hotel will also have a fitness center, a Sheraton Club Lounge, and over 2,000 square feet (185 meters) of meeting and event space.
The Westin Makkah will have 513 rooms and suites, each with a Westin Heavenly Bed. There will also be two buffet restaurants, a lounge, fitness facilities, and over 2,500 square feet (232 square meters) of meeting and event space.
At the Four Points by Sheraton Makkah hotel, there will be 451 guestrooms, as well as a restaurant, lounge, and business center. The property will also have over 1,000 square feet (92 meters) of meeting and event space.
Currently, Starwood operates 10 hotels in Saudi Arabia. Later this year, the company plans to open the Sheraton Medina Hotel, as well as the Four Points by Sheraton Medina Hotel in the country.
