Omni to Take Over Five Classic Resorts
Omni Hotels & Resorts announced it will purchase and operate five resort properties, the Barton Creek Resort & Spa, the Grove Park Inn, the Homestead, La Costa Resort and Spa, and Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa, which will be rebranded as Omni properties on July 1. The five resorts are located in California, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
The Barton Creek Resort & Spa is a 312-room golf resort located in Austin, Texas. The property has five restaurants, bars, and lounges, a recently renovated spa, 43,000 square feet (3,994 square meters) of meeting and event space, and four golf courses.
La Costa Resort and Spa is in Carlsbad, California. The property has 611 guestrooms, suites, and villas, an adults-only pool, and two signature golf courses. The hotel also has a 43,000 square foot (3,994 square meter) spa with a private pool and café.
The Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa has 444 rooms, and is located in Rancho Mirage, California. The property has a 20,000 square foot (1,858 square meter) spa, a 27-hole golf course, 25-court tennis center, 41,000 square feet (3,809 square meters) of meeting and event space, and a water park.
The Grove Park Inn, situated in Asheville, North Carolina, is currently undergoing a $25 million renovation, expected to be completed this summer. It has 512 rooms and suites, two 14-foot (4 meter) fireplaces, a tennis and fitness center, golf course, and spa.
In Hot Springs, Virginia, the Homestead will complete a $26 million renovation this summer as well. The resort has 483 guestrooms and suites, 72,000 square feet (6,689 square meter) of meeting and event space, a water park, equestrian center, shooting club, and a downhill ski area.
