Hawaiian Airlines announced it has started to offer new service between Honolulu and Sendai, Japan on June 25.  The service operates three times a week.

Honolulu, the state capital, is on Oahu, Hawaii’s third largest island.

Flights depart from Honolulu International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 12:55 p.m. and arrive at Sendai International Airport at 4:30 p.m. the following day.  Return flights depart from Sendai on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 5:45 p.m., stop for connection at New Chitose Airport in Sapporo at 7:00pm, and depart for Hawaii at 9:10 p.m., arriving in Honolulu at 9:50 a.m. the same day.

Hawaiian operates the service using wide-body, twin-aisle Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.  The aircraft is equipped with 264 seats, 18 of which are in business class with a pitch of 42 inches and a width of 18.5 inches.

Hawaiian also said it will begin service to Taipei, Taiwan in July 2013. Pending government approval, the airline plans to launch nonstop service between Honolulu and Beijing, China in April 2014.
