Alaska Airlines Launches Seasonal Fairbanks-Portland Service

Alaska Airlines said it has begun to offer seasonal nonstop service between Fairbanks, Alaska and Portland, Oregon.  The new service will operate daily through September 3 of this year.

Flights from Portland depart at 8:15 p.m. and arrive in Fairbanks at 11:09 p.m.  From Fairbanks, flights depart at 12:15 a.m. and arrive in Portland at 5:00 a.m.

The service operates using Boeing 737-800 aircraft, equipped with 16 seats in first class, and 141 in economy.  Seats in first class are 21 inches wide, with a pitch of 36 inches.

In celebration of the new service, Alaska Airlines is offering one-way fares of $149 for tickets purchased by June 17, for travel between June 23 and July 15.
