Ritz-Carlton announced that it has plans to open a property in Rabat, Morocco in December 2014.  The hotel will be the company’s first property in Morocco, and its third in North Africa.

The property will have 120 guestrooms and 15 one-bedroom villas.  There will also be an additional five two-bedroom villas.

The hotel will be located 10 minutes from the center of the city.  It will also be situated within the grounds of the Royal Golf Dar Es Alam, one of the top golf courses in the country.

Other Ritz-Carlton properties in North Africa currently under construction include the Ritz-Carlton, Tunis, Carthage, and Morocco a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Tamuda Bay.
