DSC_0617Omni Hotels announced that the Omni Fort Worth Hotel will begin to offer Wellness Breaks for groups holding meetings and events at the property.  Wellness Breaks feature activities and menus that include health-conscious options, such as yoga and Limoncello Soda.

Wellness Breaks will be available at any time for groups.  Activities options include: 30 minutes to an hour yoga class (for a minimum of ten people) led by a professional instructor; 30 minute stretching break led by a professional; 30 minute nutrition class; 30 minute cooking demonstration; and 30 minutes to an hour chair massages (10 minutes for each guest).

The menus for Wellness Breaks include options such as: Farm-to-Fort Worth, Sundance Serenity, Zesty Afternoon, Fort Worth Wholesome, and Texas Breeze.  The menus feature fresh and healthy items, including: roasted fresh baby vegetables, grilled wild mushroom relish on a whole grain crostini, pumpkin seed granola bars, and warm spiced apples with low fat vanilla cottage cheese.

In 2011, Omni conducted a health and wellness survey that found that 56% of participants admitted to indulging in various food or beverages when traveling for business and slightly regretting it, while the same number of people said that they would like to see more low-fat options when traveling.  The same survey showed that 26% wished that their hotel would offer or provide access to yoga or spin studios.
