Marriott Introduces New App for Managing Meetings
Marriott announced Red Coat Direct, a new app for meeting planners meant to make organizing meetings easier and more efficient. Marriott is introducing the app at 350 properties this May, and expects to have it available at every one of its properties by the end of next year.
Red Coat Direct is typically personalized for each specific event., Meeting organizers can request anything they might need, including room temperature adjustments, coffee refills, change of time for lunch being served, and adding an additional dish to meals.
Requests can be made up to three days prior to the meeting, as well as while the meeting or event is in progress. Once an organizer makes a request, it is then routed to the event manager, and is taken care of.
Red Coat Direct is available on all internet-enabled devices. By next year, the app will available in 19 languages.
