Starwood to Open First W Hotel in Israel

Starwood announced it will introduce its W brand to Israel in 2015.  The company will open the W Tel Aviv – Jaffa and the Residences at W Tel Aviv – Jaffa during that year.

The hotel will be built inside a historic 19th century building that once housed the French Hospital.  Jaffa, an ancient port city, is currently undergoing a revitalization that includes an extended sea promenande.

The W Tel Aviv – Jaffa will have 125 guestrooms and suites, including one WOW (presidential) suite.  There will also be a signature restaurant, bar, an Away Spa, a Sweat fitness center, and 24-hour business center.

The six-story Residences at W Tel Aviv – Jaffa will include 38 apartments.  The building will have a private entrance, separate from that of the W Tel Aviv – Jaffa.

The apartments will range in size from 753 to 4,305 square feet (70 to 400 square meters).  Residents of the apartments will have access to the W Tel Aviv – Jaffa’s facilities.

The W Tel Aviv – Jaffa and the Residences at W Tel Aviv – Jaffa will comprise of over 215,278 square feet (20,000 square meters).  Starwood expects to have over 60 W hotels worldwide by the end of 2015.
