South African Airways Signs Codeshare Deal with Jet Airways

South African Airways and Jet Airways announced a codeshare agreement.  Under the agreement, each airline will be allowed to place their code on select flights operated by the other.

Effective immediately, Jet Airways can place its code on South African Airways flights between Johannesburg and Mumbai, Cape Town, and Durban.  In addition, South African Airways can place its code on Jet Airways flights between Mumbai and Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Thiruvanthapuram.

Members of South African Airways’ loyalty program Voyager will be able to earn miles when flying on the Jet Airways routes with South African Airways tickets.  Jet Airways JetPrivilege program members will also be able to earn miles and redeem miles when they fly on the select South African Airways routes.

Jet Airways is India’s second largest airline.  Its main hub is in Mumbai, and it has an international hub in Brussels, Belgium.
