American Airlines launched daily, non-stop service from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Düsseldorf, Germany Thursday.  The new service operates using Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

Flights depart from Chicago at 3:35 p.m. and arrive at Düsseldorf International Airport at 7:00 a.m. the next day.  Flights from Düsseldorf to Chicago depart at 9:45 a.m. and arrive at 12:05 p.m. The aircraft is configured with 28 business-class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration and 184 seats in coach.

In celebration of the new service, American Airlines is offering its AAdvantage members up to 20,000 bonus miles when they fly round trip on the new route.  Passengers with business and select economy class tickets will receive 20,000 bonus miles, while those with all other economy class tickets will receive 10,000 bonus miles for every round trip.

In addition to the new route, American also plans to launch new service to Asia and Europe later this year, including a New York-Dublin route, set to begin June 12, and a Dallas/Fort Worth-Seoul route, beginning May 9.  The airline also began new service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Lima, Peru on April 1 of this year.
