Alaska Airlines launched new twice-daily service between Seattle and Salt Lake City.  The flights will operate using Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft.

Flights will depart from Seattle at 7:00 a.m. and 1:10 p.m., arriving in Salt Lake City at 9:59 a.m. and 4:10 p.m., respectively.  Flights from Salt Lake City to Seattle will depart at 11:00 a.m. and 5:10 p.m., with arrival times of 12:07 p.m. and 6:17 p.m.

Once onboard, passengers will be able to purchase the airline’s Northern Bites meal service, which includes a hot meal or cheese and fruit platter. Alaska Airline’s in-flight entertainment system, a handheld video-on-demand device featuring over 70 movies, as well as various TV programs, is included in the price of the ticket in first class and available for $10 in coach.

In celebration of the new route, the airline is offering Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members the chance to earn double miles for flights between April 4 and May 31, 2013.
