Starwood announced it will open a Westin hotel in Sacramento, California in April of this year.  The property, formerly known as Le Rivage Hotel, will undergo a $3.2 million renovation before it re-opens as the Westin Sacramento.

The hotel will have 100 guestrooms and suites, many with private balconies overlooking the Sacramento River.  Each room will also include the brand’s Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Bath, and Heavenly Showers.

The property will also have 7,000 square feet (650 square maters) of meeting and event space, an outdoor pool, a spa, and a fitness studio.  There will also be a full-service restaurant located on the premises.

Located near the property are the Sacramento Convention Center Complex, California State University campus, and the Sacramento Zoo, as well as Sacramento International Airport, which is 20 minutes away.  Westin Sacramento will be the first Westin hotel to be located in the northern California city.
