Ritz-Carlton announced the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal.  The hotel is the company’s first to be located in Abu Dhabi, and its ninth in the Middle East.

The hotel is located on the waterfront, and is comprised of ten buildings arranged in a crescent moon formation.  The property also includes 57 acres (23 hectares) of private beaches.

The new hotel has 477 guestrooms and suites, as well as 85 private one- and two-bedroom villas.  Each villa comes with its own outdoor terrace and private butler service.

There are ten hotel restaurants and bars, including: Li Jiang, which offers modern Southeast Asian cuisine including noodles and dim sum; Mijana, which features traditional Lebanese dining; and The Forge, a signature steak house.  There is also Giornotte, a Mediterranean, all-day dining venue, and Dolce, an Italian café serving gelato and coffee.

The hotel also has a 1,600 square meter (17,222 square foot) outdoor pool, one of the largest in the United Arab Emirates.  There is also a fully-equipped health club.
